Reveloutionary War Timeline Project
Assignment #28
April 2nd, 2008 — assignments, week28
Think about James Armistead Lafayette and the choice he had to make about helping the Patriots or being loyal to the King. As a slave, you could gain freedom for helping the king, but there was no promise made to slaves that they would get freedom if they helped the revolution. Helping the revolution, it took years before James Armistead was “manumitted” (set free). If you were in James Armistead place, what choice do you think you would make? Why would you make that choice?
You can read the article or do the activity below after you have answered the question with two sentences.

Revolutionary Timeline Project II
March 29th, 2008 — timeline, week28
This week, you need to begin planning and working on the script of your presentation. This is what it looks like:
You can click on the picture above to open up the script. You will need to fill in your group information, the title and the script this week. Please turn it into me when you are done. It is due by the end of the day on Friday.
On the script, first describe the event in one to three sentences (answering what, when, and where questions). After that, you must answer how and why questions about the event. You don’t need to include the question, but it should clear what you answering from your writing. Here are some examples (do not copy them):
